Mollie Carruthers

Dr. Carruthers is actively involved in clinical research. She has authored 20+ peer-reviewed publications including first authorship on a prospective clinical trial using Rituximab for IgG4-related disease (PMID: 25667206) as well as test characteristics of serum IgG4 (PMID: 24651618). Her clinical interests include IgG4-related disease, vasculitis, rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus.

 

Dr. Carruthers is part of an interdisciplinary team researching IgG4-related disease at University of British Columbia. Her collaborators include Dr. Luke Chen (UBC Hematology Program Director), Dr. Andre Mattman (UBC Associate Professor of Medial Biochemistry), Dr. Michael Seidman (UBC Assistant Professor of Pathology) and Dr. Graham Slack (UBC Assistant Professor of Pathology). Our group led by Dr. Andre Mattman discovered a new way to test for serum IgG4 (PMID: 29352044) and are working on further defining the biomarker. Hematologic manifestations of IgG4-related disease are being further explored (PMID: 28005278) as well as therapeutics.
