Dr. Janet Roberts completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy at Dalhousie University. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2013. She then moved west to pursue a residency in internal medicine and rheumatology at the University of Alberta.

She joined the faculty of medicine at Dalhousie University, Halifax in August 2018 as an assistant professor in the Division of Rheumatology. She is a founding and active member of the Canadian Research Group of Rheumatology in Immuno-Oncology (CanRIO) and a member of the scientific advisor committee. She has received a CIORA grant from the Canadian Rheumatology Association to develop educational modules and materials for rheumatologists and oncologists on the rheumatic complications of immunotherapy. She has a research interest in immune related adverse events that involve the musculoskeletal system. She is currently completing a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology through Harvard University.
