Growing up, nobody believed that Elise Boisvert had arthritis. She was diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis when she was just four years old, and some of her earliest memories are of medical procedures.

Approximately 25,000 kids and youth in Canada have arthritis. The disease affects people of all ages, often severely impacting quality and span of life.

Elise is now 24 and about to start a career in teaching. She knows that arthritis research will help countless others facing similar challenges.
