Bring Hope to Others

Have you made the journey from the early days of an initial arthritis diagnosis and then moved through a series of successively difficult and drawn-out stages of the disease? Have you finally managed to reach a place where your life is under control and is now proving to be rewarding again? If so, what has been of particular help to you? Please tell us about it. Your story may provide hope and encouragement for those who are only now beginning to confront and treat their disease. Below are some brief guidelines to follow with your submission:

  • Outline your disease experience and tell us how you are doing now.
  • Keep your story to no more than 250 words.
  • Feel free to describe medical treatments or approaches that you have found to be helpful, but please refrain from actually endorsing or recommending them for others.
  • If you wish you may include a digital photo to be posted along with your story.

Please email your story to:  APABnewsletter@arthritisresearch.ca and include the words “My Story” in the subject line.

APAB members will read your story and, subject to space or other relevant editorial limitations, will publish it on the website. If for any reason, we are unable to publish it, we will be in touch with you to provide our feedback and comments.

We look forward to hearing from you. Please remember that hope is contagious!!
