It’s Arthritis Awareness Month – Don’t Let Arthritis Stand In Your Way!

September 1, 2023 (Vancouver) September is Arthritis Awareness Month, and Arthritis Research Canada is highlighting this invisible and often misunderstood disease by sharing the positive impact that vital arthritis research has in the lives of over 6 million Canadians of all ages.

An arthritis diagnosis can present many challenges and often gets in the way of doing things you love. Constant pain makes it very difficult to live a regular life, care for small children, work or attend school, enjoy leisure and family time, stay physically active, and so much more. At Arthritis Research Canada, our studies are finding ways to help stop this disease from standing in the way of living life to the fullest.

This September, stay tuned on Arthritis Research Canada’s social media channels, where we will share more about our 100+ studies as well as helpful and informative content.

We will welcome the new season with the launch of our Fall Newsletter on September 5. In it, you will find dating tips for people with chronic illnesses, occupational therapy advice, exercise inspiration, and more.

Arthritis Research Education Series, Episode #11: Biosimilars: Unpacked, will also go live this month. If you have arthritis and are concerned about the impact of transitioning to a biosimilar, join Arthritis Research Canada’s Scientific Director, Dr. Diane Lacaille, to learn more and ask questions.

Is arthritis standing in your way? Join us on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram using the hashtags #ArthritisResearch4Life #ArthritisResearch to tell your story and help others navigate the challenges of arthritis.
