Gather Your People and Make an Impact

A dinner party. A golf day. A workplace challenge.
Whatever brings people together can also fund the research that changes lives for millions of Canadians.

Maybe you have something in mind, or maybe you’re just curious about what’s possible. Either way, you’re in the right place.

Every year, people across Canada host events in their homes, workplaces, and communities to raise money for arthritis research. No two look the same, and all of them matter.

Browse the ideas below, find your fit, and let us know what you’re planning.

In Your Home

Your next get-together can be more than a good time. It can fund research that matters.

Chilli Cook-off
Bragging rights, full stomachs, and real impact. Time it with the Grey Cup, Super Bowl, March Madness, World Series or Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Games Night
Bingo, poker, or whatever your crowd loves. Charge an entry fee, gather some prizes and donate the rest. (Note: gaming license required.)

Ice Cream Social
Simple, crowd-pleasing, and surprisingly tasty on a summer night.
Don’t skimp on the toppings.

Birthday Fundraiser
Skip the gifts this year. Why not ask guests to donate to arthritis research instead?

Wine & Cheese Night
Charge an entry fee for a curated tasting.

Whatever you’re planning, we’re here to help make it happen.

In Your Community

Celebrate! Bring your neighbourhood, your network, or your whole town along for the ride. Here are some ideas:

Charity Golf Tournament
Tee off for research that’s changing lives across Canada.

Pub Night
Many local pubs already run charity nights. Bring your people, and make a night out count.

Walk, Run, or Dance-a-thon
Get people moving for the millions of Canadians living with arthritis.

Battle of the Bands
Good music moves people. So does great research.

Block Party
Turn your street into a community moment worth celebrating.

Have a different idea? We’d love to hear it.

In Your Workplace

Some of the best fundraisers happen between meetings. Here’s how to make a fundraiser count.

Casual Day
Dress down to give back. Ask colleagues to swap their usual attire for a pledge card.

Theme Day
Pick a theme, dress up, donate. The more creative, the better.

Digital Bingo
Sell cards to colleagues and call numbers throughout the day via Slack, Teams, or email. First to bingo wins. (Note: gaming license required.)

Grilled Cheese Competition
Lunchtime competition. Chefs and tasters both pay to play.
Best sandwich takes the title.

Scavenger Hunt
Hide treats, drop clues, watch your team get surprisingly competitive for a great cause.

Big team or small, every workplace event can move research forward.

How We Support You

When you host an event for Arthritis Research Canada, you’re in the driver’s seat. Here’s what you can expect from us along the way.

We can:

Just so you know

We’re a small, dedicated team, so the more lead time you give us, the better we can support you.

We can’t guarantee staff presence at your event, and we are not able to share donor contact information, fund or reimburse event expenses, solicit sponsorship on your behalf, guarantee attendance, or be listed as a sponsor or organizer.

We will be excited to champion your efforts by amplifying your event through our channels and sharing supportive guidance to help you create something truly meaningful and impactful.

Once we receive your submission, a member of our team will be in touch within a few days to discuss next steps.

Ready to Make It Happen?

Tell us about your event. Big, small, or still just a spark of an idea.

Fill out the form so our team can help you shape it, support it, and make sure every dollar raised goes directly toward arthritis research that’s improving lives across Canada.
