L’activité physique est importante pour notre santé, mais il nous est souvent difficile de commencer un programme d’exercices et de le respecter.
Pour promouvoir un mode de vie sain, les centres de santé du district Kwakiutl (les centres KDC) offrent une large gamme de programmes et de services aux membres de la communauté, dans la région Île de Vancouver-Nord. Les centres KDC se sont déclarés très intéressés par l’élaboration d’un programme de mentorat de l’activité physique, en partenariat avec le Centre Arthrite-recherche Canada, pour améliorer la santé et le bien-être des gens dans les collectivités. Dans le cadre de ce projet, nous testerons un nouveau programme, intitulé PATH, dont l’objectif est d’accroître l’activité physique dans les collectivités desservies par les centres KDC.
