A Gift That Lasts Beyond Your Lifetime

Including a gift in your will to Arthritis Research Canada will support research that improves lives for people living with arthritis across Canada, for years to come.

Continue Supporting What Matters

A gift in your will is a way to continue supporting causes you care about into the future. Even a small gift can help fund research that improves how people live, move, and manage arthritis for generations to come.

What Your Gift Makes Possible

Here are a few examples of the impact your legacy can have:

How a Gift in Your Will Works

Leaving a gift to Arthritis Research Canada is straightforward and flexible. You can leave a set dollar amount, a specific asset, or a portion of your estate, whatever feels right for your situation.

To include a gift, you will need to add a short clause to your will, called a codicil. We’ve prepared a sample will clause you can share with an advisor.

Your estate will also receive a tax receipt for the full value of the gift, which can help reduce taxes owing when you pass, resulting in a win-win situation for your family and the causes important to you.

My wife – vivacious, positive and strong – became paralyzed with pain in a matter of months after her diagnosis. I can fix many things, but I could do nothing to help her deal with her pain and disability caused by arthritis. Simple things such as climbing the stairs up to bed, getting dressed, and bathing were major obstacles.
