Living with arthritis? Explore open studies looking for participants and help shape the future of arthritis care.
Your experience with arthritis matters. Sharing it helps others feel less alone and brings the human reality of arthritis into everything we do.
A gift in your will is a way to continue supporting causes you care about into the future. Even a small gift can help fund research that improves how people live, move, and manage arthritis for generations to come.
Here are a few examples of the impact your legacy can have:
We are working towards solutions that prevent serious falls in older adults living with arthritis. More than 6 million Canadians live with arthritis, and the number is growing. Maintaining mobility is key to staying independent.
Our research has shown that treating inflammatory arthritis reduces the increased risk of heart attacks in people with rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. Every patient deserves a longer, healthier life.
We developed the world’s first program to prevent job loss due to arthritis. Because no one should have to choose between their health and their livelihood.
These are just a few of the discoveries your gift helps protect.
Leaving a gift to Arthritis Research Canada is straightforward and flexible. You can leave a set dollar amount, a specific asset, or a portion of your estate, whatever feels right for your situation.
To include a gift, you will need to add a short clause to your will, called a codicil. We’ve prepared a sample will clause you can share with an advisor.
Your estate will also receive a tax receipt for the full value of the gift, which can help reduce taxes owing when you pass, resulting in a win-win situation for your family and the causes important to you.
There are several arthritis organizations in Canada, and we want to make sure your generosity finds its way to us. When adding a gift to your will or any legal document, please use our registered legal name. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference when it comes to administering your estate.
