Firefighter, Athlete and the Face of Arthritis?
Firefighter, Kelly Barber, a man with both a physically demanding job and a passion for sports including tennis, hockey, skiing and cycling shares how osteoarthritis caught him off guard. He tells his story to help people understand that arthritis affects healthy, strong and active people and more research is needed to prevent this debilitating disease. His advice is to pay attention to persistent joint pain and seek medical attention early on. Early detection of osteoarthritis may prevent its progress and joint damage according to Arthritis Research Canada. Kelly hopes that research will help the next generation.
