William Sapphire is a Portfolio Manager with RBC Wealth Management and leads the Sapphire Wealth Management Group. He was born in China and moved to Canada at a young age. Over the last 12 years, William has worked in finance and management consulting and provided financial advisory, strategic planning and investment management services to individuals, families and private corporations. Having lived with family members whose lives have been impacted by arthritis and other rheumatic diseases, William understands the impact of this quiet yet detrimental disease and hopes to build more awareness and resources for the community and people living with arthritis.
William holds an MBA from the University of Toronto with a Dean’s Honour List and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University. He is a CFA charter holder and volunteers with CFA Society Vancouver. William has also pursued advanced investment and planning certifications, including a Certified International Wealth Manager, a Certificate in Environmental, Social, and Governance Investing, and, most recently, a Family Enterprise Advisor.
William is a father of two and has volunteered with multiple local community organizations, including a local hospital foundation and early art education.
