In 2006, following training in rheumatology and a postdoctoral fellowship at Imperial College, London, UK, Dr. Larché took a position at McMaster University. Recently, she took on the position of Professor and Division Head, Division of Rheumatology at University of Calgary.  She is Director of the Canadian Scleroderma Research Group, and founding member and Past-President of the Canadian Rheumatology Ultrasound Society.

Dr. Larché’s major clinical interest is in systemic sclerosis and early inflammatory arthritis with research focussed on immunology of autoimmune diseases, cellular biomarkers and ultrasonographic and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging.

As an active member of the Canadian Scleroderma Research Group (CSRG) and Canadian Inflammatory Myositis Study (CIMS), she contributes to improving knowledge and care of patients with these diseases.

In her new role at University of Calgary, Dr Larché will be developing cellular models of fibrotic and inflammatory disease to facilitate improved knowledge of pathology in the rheumatic diseases.
