Harpreet Chhina is a Master’s student in the department of Experimental Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, UBC.  She did her MSC in Human Anatomy from Chandigarh Medical College, India. To further pursue her academic carrier and taking another step towards her goal of a Doctoral degree, she joined the department of experimental medicine in September 2009. The focus of research for her Master’s degree is to evaluate the acceptability and feasibility of Academic Detailing for improving care for Rheumatoid Arthritis. The use of Academic Detailing to improve the management of a chronic disease is a novel application. Once proven effective in Rheumatoid Arthritis, academic detailing can be used for other chronic diseases as well.
