ARC Scientist receives award

Charlie Goldsmith, the Maureen and Milan Ilich/Merck Chair in Biostatistics, was just awarded the "2010 Contribution to the School Award" from the School of Rehabilitation Science at McMaster University. This award is given to facilities, clinicians and faculty who provide consistent, significant and longstanding contribution to the School of Rehabilitation in the form of research, administration and/or education.

The award noted that "Equally important to his knowledge, is his commitment to rehabilitation and developing junior trainees. He has dedicated a substantial amount of volunteer time to the department, its faculty and trainees. Despite the high calibre of his own research program and his prolific writing ability; he has appeared to be modest and approachable while encouraging people at all stages of their academic development in a way that values where they are in their development; and encourages them to move forward."
