Arthritis Rheum 2006;54(9 Suppl):S471 -Infliximab is a breakthrough in the treatment of Ankylosing Spondylitis – a crippling spinal disease that usually affects people in their twenties. Unfortunately the cost is more than $30,000 yearly. This important study shows that a lower dose of infliximab is effective for AS and may help induce third party payers and provincial formularies to cover the cost.
