Not that long ago, people who suffered from arthritis were advised to take it easy and avoid too much physical activity.

"Now we know it's exactly the opposite — they need to get out there and get moving. And that in itself is an important research finding," says Jane Aubin, scientific director, Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Institute of Musculoskeletal Health and Arthritis (IMHA).
