Knowledge Translation

Knowledge Translation (KT) is about sharing information and collaborating between patients, health practitioners, researchers, policy makers, and health administrators. Consumers provide feedback and communicate their needs to researchers. This information is vital in providing research outcomes that ultimately translates research knowledge in real-world products and services.

Effective knowledge translation is also crucial in adapting research knowledge so that it is easy to understand by consumers/patients. Only then can this knowledge be used by consumers to make informed decisions about their health care.

I think CAB is a great resource for researchers at ARC and beyond.  I would not submit a grant without having some consultation with CAB members.  The insight of CAB members is what it takes to develop research that is important to people with arthritis.

I really appreciate their dedication, enthusiasm, and ability to ask the toughest and the best questions.
